Schladming - the Styrian sporting capital in the Dachstein-Tauern Region, is one of Austria's biggest skiing centres, renowned far beyond the country's borders as a host of numerous international World Cup races. 115 kilometres of slopes and 46 ski lifts are offered by the 4-Hills Ski Area in the Dachstein-Tauern Region (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm). And the Dachstein Glacier is a very special experience in itself - 3000 m of freedom - the Dachstein Skywalk - panorama restaurant - the Dachstein Super Snowboard Park - boundless cross-country delights, downhill skiing with 6 lifts and natural snows throughout the year - need we say more! Around 60 km of top-notch cross-country trails await you in Schladming-Rohrmoos, with such sparkling names as the "Crystal Trail" and settings that are both untamed and romantic. 50 km of groomed winter hiking trails invite you to head out on a walk or a Nordic Walking expedition. And the gigantic Ramsau/Dachstein cross-country area is only a few kilometres away. You are certain to be thrilled by the 7 km-long natural toboggan run, in operation both day and night.
