There is always a lot going on around Schladming in both summer and winter. Many visitors make a pilgrimage to Schladming every year to be present at various major events, but also a lot is offered weekly at the heart of the events.

Montain Christmas
From the 24th November to 24th December, everything is focused on the Christmas market and its helpers. To convey Christmas anticipation, as it once was; stomach tingling, smelling Christmassy scents, hearing Christmas songs and Styrian delicacies for the palate, a lot of lovely things, art and homemade treats for the heart! A claim that has more than lived up to the Schladming Mountain Christmas for years.

Men’s FIS night slalom
The night slalom is one of the true classics on the alpine ski sports programme. In 2024, the World Cup will yet again return to Schladming. On the 23th of January 2024, the biggest party in the Alps is on. Every year, around 50,000 spectators travel to the slope on the Planai to cheer on their favourites. The fans create a wonderful atmosphere every year, even after the race there is a party on the so-called ‘Fanmile’.

Alpentour Trophy
Austria’s Mecca of ski sports will also be all about mountain bikers in 2020. For four days, international top cyclists and ambitious hobby cyclists will fight for fame and glory, UCI points and big prize money in the mountains of Schladming.
More than 500 mountain bike pros – including world and European champions – and amateur cyclists will take on the challenge. The sweaty 4 stages lead through selective routes criss-crossing the region.
