Summer & Winter

To be honest, we could never choose a favourite season. This is because the nature around the Schlössl offers opportunities for the perfect active holiday all year round.

 

The days in summer and in spring cannot be long enough, there is so much to discover! From family hiking trails to challenging mountain bike tours for athletes, the mountains around Schladming offer plenty of variety. In the golden autumn season, nature slowly transforms into a colourful masterpiece.

 

In winter you start right from the hotel onto the 4 connecting mountains of Schladming. Romantic winter hikes, sledge and carriage rides in the snow-covered landscape complete the winter holiday.

Skiing & snowboarding

Miles of slopes and beautiful cross-country skiing trails await you in and around Schladming-Rohrmoos. Schladming, the Styrian sports capital in the Dachstein-Tauern region is one of the largest ski areas in Austria and known far beyond the borders of Austria through the numerous international World Cup races held here every year.

 

The 4-mountain ski area in the Dachstein-Tauern region (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm) offers 115 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 46 ski lifts. A special experience is the Dachstein Glacier 3000 m of freedom – Dachstein Skywalk – panoramic restaurant – Dachstein Super Snowboard Park – cross-country skiing without limits, skiing with 6 lifts and with natural snow all year round is an absolute must. We offer a shuttle bus (from end of December) from the hotel to the lift station. € 1, – per person for a round trip!

Cross-country skiing & winter hikes

Around 60 km of quality trails, with dazzling names such as the crystal trail in a wildly romantic environment, await you in Schladming-Rohrmoos. 50 km of groomed winter hiking trails invite you for walks and Nordic walking. On top of that, the huge cross-country skiing area Ramsau/Dachstein is only a few kilometers away.

Toboggan rides

You will also be enthusiastic about the 7 km long natural toboggan run, which can be used both during the day and night. Enjoy a toboggan ride with family or friends.

Horse drawn sleigh ride

For those who would like a romantic getaway, we like to book a horse-drawn carriage ride. Unbeatably beautiful are these sleigh rides through the snow-covered landscape.

Hiking

Countless peaks and unique mountain lakes provide a perfect environment for an unforgettable summer holiday. You can start your hike directly from the hotel into the surrounding nature. The wide variety of offers ranges from family hikes and scenic delights, to spring and water hikes as well as alpine tours and summit conquests. There are many beautiful things to explore here.

Cycling

For all cycling enthusiasts there are a variety of e-bike tours, mountain bike tours, bike & hike tours or our Reiteralm trails – there is something for everyone.

 

Right in town there are a variety of sports shops where you can rent all sorts of different bikes. Enjoy a uniform ‘all-round package’ with unlimited mobility. Here you will find tours and 19 charging stations for Bosch batteries.

Golf

Located directly in Schladming, you can find an 18 hole golf course with a practice ground. Four top golf clubs have joined forces and offer four courses of 18-hole golfing pleasures between the magnificent south side of the Dachstein and the Tauern within only 50 km. The four golf clubs, Radstadt Golf Club, Schladming-Dachstein Golf Club, Golf & Countryclub Schloss Pichlarn and Golf & Country Club Ennstal-Weißenbach together with their approximately 30 golf partner companies, offer tailor-made offers with discounts, such as a green fee reduction.

Climbing

19 beautiful climbing routes and tours are located on the southern side of the highest mountain in Styria, the Dachstein and in the neighbouring village of Ramsau am Dachstein.

Numerous options of all levels of difficulty, from the children’s climbing platforms “Kali”, “Kalo” and “Kala” to the “Superferrata” (Anna-Johann-Dachstein), the longest fixed-rope climbing route in the Alps, there is something for everyone. The numerous selections of fixed-rope climbing routes make the region the number 1 climbing area in Austria.

Swimming pools & lakes

If you need to cool down on hot summer days, there are recreational lakes and outdoor pools for diving. From idyllic and relaxing to action and fun – there is something for everyone.
